Safety comes before cleanup
Some things are not volunteer jobs.
Ordinary litter can often be handled through a well-organized community activity. Sharps, medical waste, chemicals, contaminated materials, dangerous traffic areas and other hazardous situations require appropriate professional handling.
Children and school groups: participation must be supervised, age-appropriate and based on suitable consent and safety planning.
